A Kentish Wedding

Me Old Vintage China added 2 new photos — at Kent County Cricket Ground

Our first Wedding Show was such good fun what a happy industry to work in.  We met so many lovely couples and were happy to provide our complimentary tea and coffee to their entourages alongside a sneaky chocolate biscuit or two.

Funny how drinking tea from a beautiful vintage cup and saucer can take you back to the warmth of your Grandma’s front room and get everyone nostalgic.  A great day for all and I can’t wait for the next one.

MacMillian’s Coffee Morning 2016

They say the sun shines on the righteous, well it certainly did on Friday 30th September for Caroline’s outstanding MacMillan’s Coffee Morning which pretty much lasted the entire day.

With lots of hard work from Caroline, her husband Paul and friend Mette they managed to pull off a Vintage Coffee Party fit for a Queen. Their garden resembled an English fete with bunting adorning the trees and tables draped in pretty lace.  Me Old Vintage China was privileged to provide our crockery for such a worthy cause.

The tea and coffee were flowing, as was the conversation as the children admired the family tortoise Big Al and copious amounts of cakes of all shapes and sizes were consumed with delight.

The effervescent Caroline invited forty plus people but at the last count we were well over seventy and managed to raise a staggering £704.00 for MacMillan Cancer Support – so a great day in the sun eating cake, chatting to good friends and raising money for a cause close to most of our hearts. What more could you ask for?
